Welcome to the website of Elvy Jean, a Belgian musician born in 1980.

Elvy began creating music (both songs and instrumentals) in his mid-teens and never stopped. He taught himself guitar and piano simultaneously. He entered the Belgian music scene in 2006 under the name "Elvy," which comes from his initials pronounced in English (LV).
As other artists gradually adopted the same name, the project was briefly renamed "Songs for June."

Lately, the piano has taken an increasingly prominent role, while vocals have become less central. The name has returned to "Elvy," now paired with his middle name (from his paternal grandfather): Jean.

Despite starting with professional ambitions, Elvy Jean chose to prioritize his personal and family life, keeping his music intimate and largely confidential for many years. His recordings reflect this spirit, always made at home—filled with the creaking of a chair, the singing of chickadees outside the window, the sigh of a dog beside the piano, or other happy imperfections.

Over time, however, improved recording equipment and contributions from external collaborators have significantly enhanced the overall quality of his recordings. One could say the sound has evolved from lo-fi to mid-fi.
Today, although new songs still emerge occasionally, Elvy Jean is now primarily focused on the piano. In this new "neo-classical" direction, he is seeking professional partners to help take his work further.

Beyond his creative work, Lionel (his real name) teaches music, sharing his passion with those around him.
